From brand color to code
A brand color theme is what happens after you pick the hex: the same color becomes backgrounds, text, buttons and borders that all work together. This page does it in four steps — paste one brand color and everything below updates instantly. No design skills needed.
1. Start with your brand color
Type the hex from your logo or brand guidelines, or paste a screenshot into the AI extractor. One accurate primary color is enough — everything else is derived from it, so the theme stays recognizably yours.
2. Build the semantic palette
The engine expands your primary into tints and shades, pairs it with neutrals, and assigns every color a role: background, surface, text, primary, secondary. You get named semantic tokens for light and dark mode instead of a pile of unrelated hex codes.
3. Check readability
Every text/background pair is measured against WCAG 2.1 AA/AAA and APCA. Failing pairs come with a one-click fix that preserves your brand hue — so the theme is accessible without repainting your identity.
4. Export the code
Copy the theme as CSS variables, a Tailwind config, Tokens Studio JSON, W3C DTCG tokens, DESIGN.md or an 11-component stylesheet. Paste it into your project and your brand color theme is live in production.
“The visual presentation of text … has a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1.”
What is a brand color theme?
It is a complete set of UI colors derived from your brand color: semantic tokens for backgrounds, text, accents and borders, in light and dark variants, all contrast-checked. Instead of using one hex everywhere, every surface gets a role-appropriate tint of your brand identity.
How do I turn a logo color into a website theme?
Paste the logo's hex (or extract it from an image) into the Brand Theme Engine, review the generated light & dark theme, fix any contrast warnings with one click, then export CSS variables or a Tailwind config. The whole flow takes about a minute and the core steps are free.
Hand this palette to your AI coding agent (DESIGN.md)
The Take it to dev tab above exports DESIGN.md for free — a format adopted by AI coding tools: YAML design tokens plus Markdown usage rules. Put the file in your project root and coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or Windsurf build consistent UI from these semantic tokens (both themes, with measured contrast results) instead of re-describing your colors in every prompt. It's also the shortest path from brand color to design.md.
